Learn how to make a screenshot:
If you browse your iPhoto Faces function (Click the "Faces" button down left in your iPhoto window) you will somtimes find misplaced frames, where iPhoto thougt to find the face of a human being. Sometimes these are so funny that you might wish to have a screenshot of this item. With Mac OS X you can easily make a proper screenshot, weather of the whole screen as from a particular area, too. To do so simpley hit the keys alt, shift and 4 on your keyboard simultanuously! What you will get is a litte reticle where the cursor was before. Now place the reticle (let's say) to the upper left of the area, you would like to photography, press the left mousebutton, hold it and move the mouse to the lower right side of the area. What you can see ist a border between the two points, which show how far your wished area fits to the selected area. Now leave the mousebutton; you will hear a click as like a photocamera releases. After a second you can find a new Icon on your Macs desktop, called "Picture 1" (2, 3 aso.). This is you new screenshot - doubleclick to view it, and upload it to our server, if you like. Change the format of the image:
Doubleclicking the image will open it in Preview.app, a powerful tool for the next job. Mac OS X has made this picture in a PNG (Portable Networks Graphic) Format, which looks really brillant, perfectly carries transparencys aso., features, we don't need in this case. Photos come in one clean layer without transparencys so we can use a different picture format. In the menubar simply click File, move to Save as and click again. Preview.app askes for a destination to save the new file. Normally the Finder is configured to store files in Documents folder, change it to your Desktop (Shortcut: cmd + D) if you like. Now you should change the image format from PNG to JPEG. To change the format means, you are compressing the image size to a lower level which will keep the internet bandwidth low, for your advantage too: the images are loading faster. Simply click the PNG dropdown menu and change to JPEG. You don't actually need to change the quality slider, 80% is great for web images. Now click "Save" and you are done. In the next chapter you will learn, how you can mask faces of real people or other private informations.
Masking images
Masking the image maybe is the hardest part of the job on the first view but respecting privacy ist mostly kind, everybody should do so. And you might want to erase privacy information in your own pictures as well. So here is how - after this lesson you will find it really easy. Import the pictures you wish to mask into your running iPhoto application, maybe you would like to create a new Event called Screenshots, or any other name if you like. Choose the image and click the Edit button at the bottom of iPhoto.app. You might wish to have a closer look to the area, you want to mask - use the slider to browse into the picture. Now click the Retouch button on the bottom and scale the tooltip to a fitting size. Wipe the area you want to mask as often as nessecary to mask the area and you are ready.

Creating an account ist really simple: All you need ist a fitting Mailadress! Think about how you wish to be seen by other people (Username). For your privacy neither your personal data nor your Mailadress ist visble to other users. Clicking Create an account, you are forced to fill out the required fields and click on Register. You soon will recieve a E-mail where you are prompted to approve the accurency of your Mailadress and the request. Maybe you have to check your SPAM filter, if the Mail seems not to arrive. Click the link in this E-mail (you probably have to copy it into yor browser) and login to your account. Now you find an additionally Link in the navigation where images can be uploaded.
